A young Chihuahua spends his puppy-mill days pacing the cage, searching for his mother. An aging Pembroke Welsh Corgi wallows at a rescue shelter, unlikely to be adopted. A backyard-chained Pit Bull Terrier knows only cold, boredom, and neglect. An ex-con trudges daily to a warehouse job, believing that a felony conviction has ruined his future.
