Social workers and other clinicians are expected to be able to function in a multicultural environment. This is an orientation for the person who tries to ensure that they have a degree of cultural competence when working with individuals from various cultures. This publication offers clinicians, teachers, and parents an orientation to the Guyanese situation and allows them to encourage and support learning in the homeand community.
