The conclusion of “A Flash of Green” has the intrepid band of local scamsters, hucksters, and hoodlums turned heroes, trying to return to the routines of their, if not normal, at least not public lives. But like a closely contested prize fight offering an enormous purse to the winner-take-all rematch, old grudges, and hard feelings keep coming from every quarter That means the good guys have to bring a fresh set of skills, new tools including A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) and Big Data, and hyper smart associates to meet the new threats. The mob is bigger than anyone knows, it has a long memory, and man, does it hate to lose. 
The Boomers and the Millennials take turns teaching each other things in common use before the digital age that, with a 21st Century upgrade prove again, when it comes right down to it, that all people continue to wrestle with the same basic questions of existence and again discover the bedrock truth:
